James Utting is currently Chief Business Officer for Group Emerging Technology at UBS. He drives the roll-out of emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence across the Group.


James possesses in-depth knowledge of both UBS’s current and future strategies for leveraging AI technologies, as well as the organisation’s approach to AI in terms of talent, governance and technology.


James has 18+ years’ experience at UBS; previous roles include Lead for Investment Bank AI & Data Centre of Expertise and EMEA Equities COO within the Investment Bank. Beyond AI, James is passionate about Data Storytelling and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
