Catarina Souza is the Head of the Model Development and Review Division at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), Bank of England, focusing on capital models and model risk management, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Prior to joining the PRA, Catarina led the global implementation of ING's model risk management framework, with a particular focus on the governance and adoption of AI.

With over 20 years of experience in credit risk and model risk management, Catarina has led international teams and delivered complex cross-border risk and regulatory initiatives.
